My Portfolio

I built this website for a performer who was looking to get more work.
There is an emphasis on making everything very easy to change an update and uses tiny_mce for the CMS.
There are also image upload features allowing all of the pictures on the site to be easily changed.
Custom fonts are embedded using @font-face.
There are also juggling balls and clubs that fly across the background that are animated using a jQuery plugin to animate along bezier curves.

I built this site for a psychologist who wanted to be able to set mock exams online allowing students to revise for exams and get idea of their abilties against others taking the same exam as only a percentile of students pass any given exam.
The site is built using PHP and MySQL and also utilities jQuery and AJAX.
There are 3 types of question, multiple choice, true / false and match up and these can all be set via the admin system.
New content can easily be added via the CMS and each of the sub-menus is also customisable via the admin system.
When students view there results there mark in show on a graph with all other grades showing them how they performed. The graphs are generated using jQuery Flot plugin.

Sing to sunfly is a site that allows users to stream kareoke vidoes over the net.

Users spend credits when watching videos and more may be purchased via a paypal.

This site has a layout specifically for Playstation and the iphone that utilises iWebKit.

I built the using cakePHP using a design template provided to me although I did have to create new design for the iPhone.

This site is designed and built by me and is used to promote Festival Sticker Art and to share photos from events.
Users have the ability to create accounts allowing them to rate photos and choose their favorite sticker model.
Each picture has tags and there are albums showing the most popular pictures, the highest rated pictures, and pictures with any particular tag.
There is also an admin section allowing gallery managment including adding and removing photos, albums and tags.

The site utilitises AJAX to save pictures rating and scripting is done using jQuery.

I worked on this site while being employed by Beam Digital and was part of a team of 2 developers.

This required involvement in all aspects of development from generating new ideas and planning to developing and testing the code created.

Utilised PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, Javascript languages, AJAX, JQuery and Cake technologies to develop and maintain high quality and efficient developments. Used Subversion involving committing, tagging, merging and conflict resolution. Assisted management and maintenance of a Linux dev server including pushing new releases live. Solely responsible for the payment gateway (paypal) integration and also for the affiliate tracking system.

This site features a CMS, gallery and news section. New galleries can easily be added by uploading a zip file from which the images are extracted and thumbnails created.

Each image can have a description, artist, model and photographer.

This is a pay per view video streaming site built on a lightweight PHP framework. A company called Video Streaming Providers provide the player and hosting for the videos, and the site itself handles taking off credits when videos are played along with a paypal payment gateway allowing more credits to be purchased.
